Silver Stacking Rings
4 March 2022
Honesty Cookery School
Have you ever wanted to make your own silver rings? Join Fiona from @jewellerymoves in our relaxing barn setting for a day of making, learning and creativity. This course is suitable for beginners or those wanting to revisit their silver working skills.
At the workshop you will learn how to saw, solder, file, hammer, hand-stamp and finish your own sterling silver rings (one of which is hand-stamped and personalised). You will also learn how to make your own bezel setting and set a cabochon stone within one of your rings. At the end of the day you will leave with three beautiful rings which fit you perfectly!
The course will be taught by Fiona Dowling, a graduate of the Royal College of Art and the creative force behind Jewellery Moves workshops which aim to teach traditional craftsmanship, jewellery skills and techniques in small groups with a relaxed atmosphere.
The cost of the silver and stones are not included in the course fees. The approximate cost of these materials is £40-£50 and payable to the tutor on the day (ideally in cash).
What to bring:
Please make sure that hair is tied back and bring your glasses if you wear them. Everything else will be supplied.
The day will be punctuated with delicious refreshments provided by Honesty Bakers and Makers, including a lunch of freshly produced soup and breads.
