What people say about us
I wish I had discovered Honesty Cookery School earlier ! I’m a keen home cook who has participated in several cooking classes in different locations previously unaware that Honesty existed so locally. Since that point I could be described as almost a regular as I have attended a variety of courses, each of which has been excellent.
Whether Italian, Indian, middle eastern and more recently Japanese , each tutor has inspired me to practice my new skills and knowledge successfully at home.
Why does Honesty appeal to me ? Primarily the lack of pretension and the opportunity to be part of a small , friendly group led by tutors who are fabulous but non intimidating cooks. Each time I have learnt so much , often simple tips that make a huge difference to a dish. I have a bursting recipe file full of recipes which have been well received by family and friends.
Of course the fabulous setting and superbly equipped kitchen speaks for itself.
In a few words: superb value, great fun and I couldn’t recommend the cookery school more highly. I’m looking forward to my next session.

Firstly thank you for the warm welcome to the course and for the introductory chat. it was spot on and low key which set me and I believe all the other participants at their ease.
The whole course was a joy to attend with excellent surroundings and a first class building in which to have the course. Louise Talbot was an excellent tutor and obviously passionate about cheese making which helped me and others to enjoy the activity. Lunch provided a welcome and well timed break from the preparation of our cheeses and was very tasty.
All in all a great day professionally organised.
