A Christmas Letter from Romilla
Romilla ArberDear Customers,
As another year draws to a close I reflect at how quickly time seems to be passing. I am caught in a paradoxical ‘catch 22’ situation, the contradictory logic where two conditions conflict thus preventing resolution, enjoying a busy and full life where time appears to race by. To slow the feeling of fleeting time one would need to have a more mundane existence. So I choose the former, which is good because there is lots to do.
Next year I welcome my first grandchild into the world and what a wonderful world it is. I refuse to be drawn into the narrative that we are all going to hell in a hand cart. We do face challenges but as long as we choose to face them together, work to make things better and remain full of hope, I have hope. We cannot just be passengers on this journey through life we have to make a positive impact whilst we are all here.
That brings me on to food. Having a positive impact means making better choices and taking some responsibility for our health and well being. We know enough to understand that making poor decisions when it comes to food and diet has far reaching effects on our health, the health of our loved ones, our communities, our local businesses, our food producers and our economy and the environment. It all starts and ends with us so let’s work together to create a better world as our time on this planet races by.
I want to thank all of you, our Honesty customers, for your loyalty and commitment to what we are trying to do. We don’t always get it right, I know, but we are trying to get it right. Times remain challenging, but I remain full of optimism for the future. Have a safe and happy Christmas and see you in 2026.
